Hyderabad: Indialogue Foundation an action-oriented dialogue and peace foundation celebrated the Indian and Turkish culture by organizing “Indo Turkish Cultural Extravaganza” and spread the message of peace and harmony. The event was hosted at the historic and picturesque Taramati Baradari.
The Indo Turkish Cultural Extravaganza comprised of an exotic Food Festival which showcased traditional Turkish recipes and their modern interpretations wearing the glorious and bold flavors of Turkey. The festival served a showcase of exquisite tastes, elevated cuisines and exceptional ambiance. With renowned Turkish Chef Abdullah, who is the head chef at ALA TURKA DONER KEBAB with 30 years experience, treated the Hyderabadi people with amazing dishes like the Turkish Doner Kebab and a very special selection of Baklava Sweet which adds life to the Turkish cuisines.
The festival not only showcased an array of gastronomic treats but also infused cultural elements with soulful Sufi Dance performances by Mr Serkan Kamaci and his group known as ZUHURAT. A splendid flute performance by “Neyzen” with the authentic Sufi flute (made of reed cane) left the crowd spell bounded. The flute was followed by a special instrumental performance by Gulbey Caliskan, Ahmet Sezgin, Aykut Sezgin, Muhammet Duzcan and Ugur Kokdemir, the stirring music left the audience wanting for more. Any cultural event of Turkey is never complete without a display of the Turkish Calligraphy. At the festival the masters of the art, showcased their authentic and mesmerizing work. A selection of Indian folk numbers was also played to bring in the desi tadka to the Indo Turkish cultural festival.
