The Indian film industry is highly regionalised with the largest language groups supporting major regional industries. In fact regional (especially southern) films bite a huge chunkof the overall Indian film market as they have evolved by leaps and bounds and have been witnessing new trends over time. Although, Bollywood being thebiggest film industry in India, the southern film industry is contributing substantially to the market. The U.S. market is concerned it has been a fast-growing and affluent population of Indian Americans: with2.5 million people. Many distributors of Bollywood and regional Indian films are growingly eager to broaden their global appeal.
