of musical conversations for the listeners! Right from inviting the aam Mumbaikars to special guests from the industry, everything will have a musical tadka to it!
Kick-starting the special programming for World Music Day on the eve of World Music Day, RJ Suren and RJ Meera of Sunset Samosa will give listeners a sneak peek into the celebrations by inviting a renowned Acapella group ‘RaagaTrippin’ on their show. From Tum Hi Ho to Lath Lag Gayi, RaagaTrippin’ promises to truly mesmerize listeners with Acapella versions of various Bollywood songs where music is created without the use of a single instrument!
On Saturday, Radio Mirchi’s uber popular jock Jeeturaaj of Hi Mumbai will interact with some students who have recently aced their SSC exams and divulge how music has played a “fun” role in their success. From remembering mathematical formulae to compounds of Science, these students will share the importance of music in their lives. Jeeturaaj will also fascinate listeners by inviting a special homegrown rapper group from Dharavi, DopeadelicZ. The band will highlight how Dharavi stands for a lot more besides the spirit of entrepreneurship and the grim reality of being Asia’s biggest slum.
To make the day more melodious, RJ Sangeeta of Dheemi Local will host a musical rendezvous with three reigning singing divas of the 90s – Anuradha Paudwal, Alka Yagnik and Kavita Subramaniam. This will be followed by a special Dheemi Local hosted by RJ Neha. Music maestro, A. R. Rahman; the man with the Golden Voice, Abhijeet Bhattacharya and the immensely talented music director Lalit Pandit will grace the Mirchi airwaves in a memorable and exclusive segment for the listeners.
