Mumbai : This ‘World Music Day’ the listeners of Radio City 91.1 FM are in for an amazing treat! For the second consecutive year, India’s favorite radio network, Radio City 91.1 FM is all set to celebrate the ‘World Music Day’ in true sense with two days of non-stop Bollywood covers with more than 75 artists from around the world for the ‘Radio City Concert’.
Popular artists like Arijit Singh, Kailash Kher, Aakriti Kakkar, Shibani Kashyap, Aditi Singh Sharma, Neeti Mohan, Hanu Dixit, Vasuda Sharma, Susheela Raman, Alaa Wardi, Raghav Sachar, Sanam Puri, Jonita Gandhi, Khushboo Grewal, Chai Town from USA, Avish Sharma from New Zealand are a few names who will be performing the unplugged music for the station.
The listeners can enjoy interesting mash ups like ‘Kabira’ from ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ with ‘Iktaara’ from ‘Wake Up Sid’ and many more. More than 200 songs will be played over two days on the station across eight cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Nagpur etc.
For our listeners in Pune, Radio City RJs pay tribute to the epic compositions of our music directors over the years. Right from 1950s until now, the listeners can enjoy every hour of a unique journey of songs from Bollywood that defined a certain decade. Right from ‘Yaad Kiya Dil Ne’ from Patita or ‘Tum kya jaano Mohabbat kya hai’ from ‘Hum kisise Kum Nahi’ all the songs can be enjoyed on Radio City 91.1 FM.
Down south, Radio City Hyderabad has created ‘Sapta Swaralu’, a special show hosted by RJ Priyanka. The show has ‘Top 7’ music directors viz. Anup Rubens, Devi Sri Prasad, Thaman, Chakri, G V Prakash, Koti & Mickey J Meyer in a candid conversation about music & their inspiration.
