If Not Now then When?…Born & brought up in Sydney to a family of classical singers & having accomplished her Degree in finance, Pooja-Priyanka takes a break from her banking career & comes to the City of dreams to pursue her own… Bollywood dream!
The petite & pretty Pooja-Priyanka always knew she belonged to Mumbai even though being miles away settled in Sydney! Not only acquiring her degree in Finance & Accounting, she simultaneously lived her passion of acting & modeling by actively participating in local beauty & cultural pageants.
Pooja-Priyanka title winner of prestigious beauty pageants in Sydney; ‘Miss Bollywood’, ‘Miss Dreamgirl’ took her first step to the small screen featuring in music videos for Sydney/ Melbourne based production companies. Besides she also was a part of Sydney Bridal Expo & had been in the Indian newspapers as the local ambassador for youths in Sydney.
The young aspirant believes her family plays a major role in developing her interest in the world of glitz & glamour since the very beginning, “My father is a renowned drummer and a tabla player back in Sydney. Since childhood he has taken me along to watch shows where I would meet other artists. I absorbed the entire experience & thoroughly enjoyed it. Since then I take my singing & dancing seriously & was always had this fetish to pursue it as my career.”
Pooja-Priyanka is classically trained in Kuchipudi since the age of five & also practices Ballet dancing too.
Apparently quitting[/taking a break]a career of a banker in a major international institutional banking corporation Pooja-Priyanka chose to follow her passion, “If not now then when? I always wanted to be in the movies but I also wished to complete my qualification and which is why after acquiring my major in accounting & finance, I knew I couldchase my acting dream or I would regret for the rest of my life. So Mumbai here I come.”
Pooja-Priyanka has enrolled herself in Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute & is already taking it seriously. About the kind of work she wants to do, she mentions, “As much as I want to do commercial cinema, I want to be spoken about for my acting. It is going to be quiet a ride but it is totally worth it. I am after all now living my dream.”
