Mumbai :Bollywood has always welcomed new talents with open arms and there is no doubt about it. The new 
kid on the block “Shahid Mallya” who has done some insanely fabulous work in the industry has mesmerized Bollywood biggies with his singing talent& his vocal chords.
In an extremely short span of time, he has worked with top most music directors and is associated with the top banners of the industry like Yash Raj Films, Balaji Motion Pictures, Dharma Productions, Viacom 18 and many more. He rose to fame with his super hit song ‘Rabba mein toh mar gaya hoye’ from the movie Mausam. Mallya not only received recognition and critical acclaim but also bagged The Big Star award as the Best Male Singer.
He got on opportunity in Sohail Khan’s Kisan then with Dharmendra’s YPD . Accidently called by Sohail Sen for ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ then Pritam for Mausam with –‘tu hi tu’ and ‘rabba main to mar gaya ‘.Now there’s absolutely no looking back for Shahid with Gunday round the corner and with Shaadi ke Side effects just released with his voice rendered to both of the title songs.
Shahid is now doing playback for Shankar Ehsaan Loy for 2 states that is based on Chetan Bhagats novel.
Born in Shri Ganga Nagar (Rajasthan) and brought up in Delhi and Rajasthan, being a disciple of his father SalimMallya, Shahid has always been inclined towards music. He was noticed since his school & colleges days and bagged many prizes. Shahid’s family wished him to be a singer and in 2002 he finally shifted to Mumbai to fulfill his dreams. He started off with some jingles and TV serials.
Shahid is now in career in Bollywood has made life extremely busy for him dubbing everyday at the studios and rehearsals with his band preparing himself for his live shows.
