Mumbai: Manav Bhinder’s short film – ‘Dor’ starring Parineeti Chopra and Nasir Khan is the winner of ‘Best Short Film’ award of ‘Shoot Your Vision Contest’ organised jointly by Pocket Films along with the organisers of the recently concluded ‘Worli Festival.’ Parineeti Chopra also lent her voice for a song in the film. Indian Film Director and Cinematographer Rohit Shetty presented him the award in the festival.
This award winning short movie, Dor draws a picture of evergreen memories and feeling of love shared with our near and dear ones. The story is based on true love and the emotional bonding between a mother and her child. Michael draws a flash back of his childhood and explains to Ria, the tough phase a mother has to go through when a son leaves her and moves ahead for a better future. Michael explains from his story and makes Ria realize what a mother expects from her child.
An elated Manav Bhinder says, “I am overwhelmed. This is my first film and I made it as a gift to my parents. I am grateful to Pocket Films and Worli Festival for recognising my effort. Thank you.”
