Music is the language of hearts, and a piece of good music is more than enough instead of words; Delhi got a big dose of music for 3 days at Swami Hairdas Tansen Sangeet Nritya Mahotsav . A lyrical tribute to the aficionados which started 11 years ago repeated the history with its another dose of music with Swami Haridas Tansen Sangeet Nritya Mahotsav from 16th 
to 18th January at Modern School BaraKhamba Road, New Delhi. Famous Dancer Uma Sharma and the key holder of the event is trying to promote Indian Culture and the heritage of cultural music by providing this festival for all the music lovers. This music festival was a perfect retreat to satiate the instinct of the city for Indian Classical music and three day long schedule provided various artists who performed in different Genres.
The three day long festivals had too much to provide the city and to cultivate the attention of every music lover. The First Day was started with the inauguration by Mr. B.L Joshi governor of UP , it was followed by the performance of Pt. Chandra Prakash Mishra who enthralled the audience with his notes of Brij Music which used to be played at the time of Lord Krishna. After power packed session of classical music by Pt. Chandra Prakash , the city got another session of music with the Jugalbandi of Maestros Ustaad Aasheesh Khan and Ustaad Zakir Hussain. Second day was followed by the performance of several maestros, it started with Ustaad Iqbal Ahmed Khan who performed Indian Classical Music. After the spiritual performance Ustaad Rajan -Sajan Mishra , who belong to Banaras Gharana spread the colors of 300 years old Khyal Singing which bewitched every listener present in the auditorium.
The lyrical evening was followed by the performance of aficionado Sujat Khan.
The final day started with performance of the renowned Kathak dancer Uma Sharma who described the love of Swami Haridas towards Lord Krishna through her dance. The evening was followed by the performance of famous singer Shubha Mudgal who enthralled the audience with captivating Ragas and rhythmic songs. The finale had lot to provide to all the music lovers which was followed by the spiritual performance of Pt. Vishv Mohan Bhatt, whose notes of Veena took the crowd into a different world. The climax for this music festival was worth for the 3 days long wait which was continued with the Tigal Bandi of Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Uma Sharma& Maganiyar of Rajasthan .
Miss Uma Sharma shared her views about the event by saying that she wants to keep up the spirit of real music among the people by promoting it globally , this festival is a token of respect to all masters for their amazing work.
