The rising singing sensation Palak Muchhal who is still basking in the glory of last year’s chart busting numbers in Aashiqui 2 already has reasons to rejoice. Her latest song Photocopy from Salman Khan’s most anticipated film of the year Jai Ho has just released and 
had already become a rage among the masses. “The response has been phenomenal,” says Palak who is beaming with pride. “I have been known for melodic numbers like Chahoon Main Ya Na from Aashiqui 2, so people were surprised when they heard me in this peppy number. I am still getting calls from my friends from the music industry saying, we never thought you could sing like this too.”
Little do many know that this isn’t the first time that Palak is lending her voice to a Salman Khan starrer film. Although she rose to fame with Aashiqui 2, the singer first sand Lapata in Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger. “I bagged a YRF film only because of Salman Sir who recommended my name to Aditya Chopra.
And it was Salman Sir again who suggested my name to Sajid-Wajidji for Jai Ho,” reveals the 21 year old Like many the year 2013 has been great for Palak as she recorded for as many has 108 songs some of which will be seen in forthcoming films like Karle Pyaar Karle, Traffic, Ishqueria, Shilpa Shetty’s Dishkiyaaoon among others. “2013 has been a fantastic year for me as far as playback singing is concerned and all thanks to that I am hoping for a great 2014 as well for all my songs release this year.
I really hope people love the numbers I have sung.”
Well sure hope too that the young singer gives many more chart busting numbers!
