Tighten up your seat belts, as The Times of India announces its much awaited list of talent and glamour — The Times 50 Most Desirable Women of 2018. The aim is to recognize and celebrate talent, persona and sex appeal of India’s beautiful actresses from various industries. The list is evaluated by an internal jury and online poll that ranks these divas based on attributes like personality, talent, sex appeal and engaging social media content. These stunning divas have won the hearts of their fans worldwide with outstanding performances in their respective fields.

Topping the list this year is one of Bollywood’s favourite — Alia Bhatt. Alia rose to fame thanks to her phenomenal  acting skills and portrayal of strong characters in several films. She gained nationwide love and appreciation with her impactful performance in ‘Raazi.’ Her popularity increased even more when she confidently declared her love for beau Ranbir Kapoor at the recently held Filmfare Awards.

Talking about her reaction to winning the title of The Times Most Desirable Woman 2018, Alia said, “I never thought that I would be given this title, of ‘Most Desirable’ that is. I don’t know what makes me desirable, but I think that you find someone desirable when you like the person’s personality as a whole. Most importantly, it is about liking the person for who they are. Recently, I was reading a fan letter; I usually try and make time to read all my fan mails and respond to them. I was reading one letter, which said, ‘I love you not because you are a celebrity, but because you are a good human being, and we can see that’. For, me that is the most important thing, the fact that there are people who understand my personality. I believe that I am transparent, and it is great if people can see it. If people believe my personality is desirable, there is nothing like it!”

Grabbing the second spot on the list is Meenakshi Chaudhary, who was crowned 1st Runner-up at the Miss Grand International pageant. Meenakshi is a popular face in the fashion industry and people love her for her impeccable fashion sense. Her personality, confidence and achievements in the modelling industry have made her one of the most desirable women in India.

On the third spot is Katrina Kaif, known for raising the oomph factor in Bollywood. Through a remarkable performance in movie ‘Zero’, Katrina redefined her acting skills and enthralled everyone with her killer belly dance moves. Following her is the ‘Ranisa’ of Bollywood Deepika Padukone on the fourth spot. Known for her grace and beauty, Deepika played the lead role in the most talked about movie of 2018 ‘Padmaavat.’ The diva broke and won hearts at the same time with her extravagant marriage to Ranveer.
