Hyderabad : Agam Band, the Contemporary Carnatic Rock will perform here in city this weekend on 18th June at Hitex from 8pm onwards. It will be performed as part of the ongoing Hyderabad Arts Festival.
AGAM is a multiple award winning contemporary Carnatic Rock act. Their music combines the myriad hues of melodic scales and intricate rhythm structures offered by Carnatic music with the aesthetic principles and tonal elegance from western world.
Harish Sivaramakrishnan will be on Violin and Vocals; Swaminathan Seetharaman – Keyboard; Praveen Kumar T – Guitar; Jagadis Natrajan – Rhythm Guitar; Sivakumar Nagarajan – Indian Percussions; Yadhunandan Nagaraj – Drums; Aditya Kasyap – Bass Guitar; NIkhil V Pai – Sound Engineer.
The band derives its name from the ancient Tamil Word, which translates to the inner self. Agam’s music encapsulates the boundless, vibrant emotions of the human psyche. It explores, depicts and contemplates these countless aspirations and sentiments of the inner self.
The band has performed over 300 live concerts across India and abroad. It has performed in different music festivals in the country like The great Indian October Fest, NH7 Weekender, The Storm Festival, The Mojo Rising Festival to name a few. In addition to this, they are regulars at Hard Rock Cafes and other prominent pubs/bars in South India.
