The average Marathi cine-goer today is aware of what good cinema is and what is bad and does not get unnecessarily carried away by superficial beauty. He or she is well aware of what good content is as far as cinema is concerned and can easily differentiate chalk from cheese. If there is a film which has different content backed by rich music and brilliant performances from all the actors, the cine-goers embrace it with open arms, especially if the film has grandeur and the producers have not cut corners. Shinma which has been produced by Aanil Joshi under the banner of Vedaant Entertainment is one such film.
The music launch of the film was held on Tuesday at Hotel Kohinoor at 7 pm at the hands of the renowned choreographer of Bollywood Ganesh Acharya in the presence of a few well known celebrities in Marathi Cinema, besides the cast and crew of the film.
There are five songs in the film, each sung in a different style, adhering to different moods. There are item numbers, romantic songs, montage songs as well as promotional numbers. While Varun Likhate has composed four songs which are situational, one has been composed by Rohan-Rohan. Anand Shinde of Majha Naveen Popat has sing with Kavita Nikam the popular and catchy number Tujhi Chimni Udali Burra, written by Jay Atre. Jay has also written the song Asa Kasa which has been sung by Deepali Sathe and Rohit Raut. The song Chakachak Chanderi Duniya written by Jay is heard not just once but twice in the film. While the first one has been sung by Manish Rajgire, the second has been sung by composer Varun Likhte himself. The song Kalla Jhala has been composed by the composer duo Rohan-Rohan. Rahul Salve and Sagar Wankhede have written the song sung by Adarsh Shinde in his usual inimitable style.
Producer Aanil Joshi and director Milind Kavade are coming up with a literary masterpiece in front of the discerning Marathi film lovers with Shinma. Aanil Joshi reiterates that the audience will love the film as it is a blend of good screenplay and brilliant music and designed as an out and out entertainer to woo not only the masses but also the classes.
Milind Kavade states that he has made an attempt to reach the maximum number of the audiences with a subtle message along with a good screenplay and lilting and catchy songs. The film stars Ajinkya Deo, Kishori Shahane, Gurleen Chopra, Yatin Karyekar, Vijay Patkar, Sanskruti Balgude, Ananda Karekar, Anshuman Vichare, Ganesh Yadav, Saurabh Gokhale, Arun Kadam, Abhijeet Chauhan, Digambar Naik, Ashish Pawar, Jaywant Wadkar, Nisha Parulekar etc. The story has been written by Milind Kavade, Ashok Jhagde and Prakash Bhagwat while Milind himself has written the screenplay. Sagar Wankhede and Deepak Thube have written the dialogues. Santonio Terezeo, who is a renowned cinematographer from the South, has cranked the camera for Shinma.
