After the world premiere at the London Indian Film Festival, Harry Sachdeva and Magical Dreams Productions Pvt Ltd’s 31st October will be screened at the forthcoming Sikh International Film Festival to be held on 29th August 2015 in Toronto. The political thriller features Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das and based on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s assassination will also be screened at the Vancouver International festival to be held on 28th September 2015.
Directed by the National Award winning director, Shivaji Lotan Patil, 31st October is an edge-of-the-seat thriller, based on the real story of a family and is a close depiction of one of the darkest days in Indian history. It’s the story of 31st October 1984, the day Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her two Sikh bodyguards, which completely shook the political scenario of the country and changed things forever for a particular community.
The movie with no lip sync songs and only a background score boasts of the best in the music industry including Asha Bhonsle, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Ali Khan, Sonu Nigam and Javed Ali.
Says director Shivaji, “It’s a huge honour for all of us. The film’s subject caters to worldwide audience and after receiving good response at London Indian Film Festival, we are looking forward to showcase the film at the Sikh and Vancouver International Film Festivals.”

Produced by Magical Dreams Productions Pvt Ltd and Harry Sachdeva and directed by Shivaji Lotan Patil, 31st October stars Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das in the lead roles along with Dayashankar Pandey, Vineet Sharma, Deep Raj Rana, Raj Saluja, Nagesh Bhosle and Sezal Sharma.
