Mumbai : Taking the message directly to the drivers, RJ Rishi Kapoor went on grounds to spread awareness and request them not to honk unnecessarily at Worli Naka, Mumbai. He moved from person to person, distributing badges and stickers to commuters in order to remind and control their urge of honking. He also educated them about the side effects of increase in noise pollution due to unnecessary honking.
On speaking to an on duty traffic policeman he said, “In my 5 years of experience as a traffic police officer, I have only seen an increase in the noise pollution due to needless honking. The commuters do not have any sense of responsibility towards the society and do not realise the trouble that children, pedestrians and old people go through. They are least bothered about others.”
