Isha Sharmaa the talented and dynamic actress, is all set to make a mark in the film and television space. An able TV artist, the stunner from Delhi has been bitten by the television bug and is all set to make it BIG in the industry.
Having studied B.Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Isha made her debut with Zee TV’s Jamai Raja. In a mere five months, she is known for playing the main antagonist as Kritika Rajveer Singh Ranawat in TV show Jamai Raja. The show, which is produced by actor Akshay Kumar and co-produced by Ashwini Yardi, Rashmi Sharma and Sagar Arts, has become a most popular name in the household today.
She recalls, “I have had a passion for acting in films since my childhood days, but then, I was also wanted to become a fighter jet pilot, lawyer, scientist, doctor, prime minister, and so many… But, acting was my passion and as an actor you can play all kinds of roles, making your dream come true.”
Isha, who plays the character of Kritika Rajveer Singh Ranawat, the step-sister of Sid, is on top of the world as her dream of expressing her talent has come true. “It is not just about playing a negative role, but my character in Jamai Raja has got a lot of variations. I am lucky to be a part of the TV serial, which has become one of the top 5 most popular serials,” she says.
She said that she receives lot of support from the entire team of Jamai Raja, which has now become an extended family. “I am really thankful to Achint Kaur, Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma and many more for their unconditional love and support,” Isha adds.
Although I watch a lot of films of various genres I take inspiration from Hollywood, Bollywood and even foreign films, however I learn a lot from observation of various everyday situations and how people express themselves, that is where I train myself everyday. I believe that this talent of minutely observing the subtle expressions of people and memorising them helps me when I have to face the camera. I add my own flavour keeping in mind the situation in the script, the character profile and the demand of the moment. This brings spontaneity and helps me get in the skin of the character and I don’t have to act, I play my role naturally.
Films are not Isha’s mind immediately although she have been receiving offers. “I definitely want to do films, but only I have honed my skills in the small screen. I do get offers but I want to focus and dedicate myself to Jamai Raja in order to give my 110 per cent to this serial which I have taken on hand. This serial has not even completed a year and is already become one of the 5 most popular serials,” Isha says enthusiastically.
