INDIA– Saavn, India’s music streaming service, is announcing today the launch of Live@Saavn, a series of live acoustic shows and interviews with popular international and Indian artists. With plans to host artists at its Mumbai HQ, the company is producing high-quality videos of the live sets that will be uploaded to YouTube for fans in India to enjoy. The first in the series features the popular LA-based indie-rock band, Young the Giant.
The new series is aimed at fostering a more transparent and visual connection between Saavn users and the artists they’re listening to.

While promoting their album Mind Over Matter with Sony Music in India earlier this year, the guys from Young the Giant unplugged their guitars for the first-ever Live@Saavn. The band treated Saavn’s Mumbai office to a 5-track set, before sitting down to dish on their experiences in India, upcoming album plans, and even their newfound love for the men’s kurta!
Saavn hosted the group with the help of Sony Music India and Gibson Guitars.
