Petaling Jaya, Malaysia : E-Plus Entertainment Productions (M) Sdn Bhd (E-Plus) was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Marketing – Campaign: Culture & The Arts category in the second annual Asia-pacific Stevie Awards today.
The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the only business awards programme to recognise achievement in the workplace in all 22 nations of the Asia-Pacific region. The Stevie Awards are widely considered to be the world’s premier business awards, conferring recognition for achievement in programmes such as The International Business Awards for more than a decade.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala banquet at the InterContinental Hotel in Shanghai, China on 5 June.
More than 400 nominations from organizations across the Asia-Pacific region were considered this year in categories such as Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Website of the Year. E-Plus won in the Marketing – Campaign: Culture & The Arts category.
Melaka Art and Performance Festival (MAPFest), the festival that won the judges’ heart, is an innovative contemporary festival featuring dance, performance art, visual art, film and music, was founded in 2009 by Art & Performance Festival Melaka Sdn Bhd and has since gained high international profile. The non-profit festival creates platform for young and upcoming artists to perform and showcase their art to the world. MAPFest is a free and open festival, held annually in November.

This Gold Stevie Award commission by the 2015 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for MAPFest is the proof of our company’s experience, and capability to plan, manage and execute international standard events,” said Andrew Ching, Managing Director of E-Plus.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 50 executives around the world who participated in first-round judging in March and April. A second international panel of judges will choose Grand Stevie winners from among the Gold winners in May. The Grand Stevie winners will be announced at the 5 June banquet in Shanghai.
