Delhi : PVR Ltd, the largest multiplex chain of India, announced a tie up with CJ 4DPLEX, the world’s first 4D cinema company at CinemaCon, Las Vegas. With this, PVR will launch 4 DX technology this year at their first Superplex, a 15 screen multiplex at Logix City Centre in Noida, India.
From pioneering the multiplex culture in India to offering online ticketing services to launching a loyalty programme for movie-goers, PVR has been a company of many firsts. With this technology, movie enthusiasts will be able to witness an enthralling 4D experience. The 4 DX features include motion, wind, lightning, vibration, fog, rain, snow, rainstorm and scents that go far beyond 3D; it will offer a complete visual, aural, olfactory and tactile experience to cinema viewing.
Addressing the media, Mr Gautam Dutta, CEO PVR Ltd. said, “India is a land of cinema lovers. The country has an immense potential to both produce and consume movies in various formats.
