Bangalore: In the recent years Bengaluru not only has made a mark on India’s map, but also has made its importance felt globally. Being one of the fastest growing cities in the world, Bengaluru is also the second most affluent city in the country. With this addition, PVR stands at a total of 48 screens and 6 properties across the garden city of India.
The multiplex, situated near the newly developed Manyata Tech Park, have seven screens, is spread across 44,360 sq ft of area and caters to 1383 patrons. Enabled with state of the art technology, the multiplex offers 3D technology with 7.1 channel sound; plush interiors and a wide range of food and beverage options for a wholesome cinematic experience for its patrons.
Mr Gautam Dutta, CEO, PVR Ltd, while addressing the media said, “Back in 2004, PVR began its journey in Bengaluru with the largest multiplex in the country which offered 11 screens to its patrons. It has been an extremely successful journey since then. Bengaluru is a true face of a metropolis, with interesting mix of multi- lingual people with premium preferences offering a mature market for cinema exhibitors like us. With this launch, we will now have six properties running in the city and look forward to receiving a positive response from our patrons.”

PVR, with its robust expansion plans, presently has more than 460 screens successfully running in the country and aims to cross the mark of 500. The multiplex chain focuses on providing patrons with a world class cinema experience in both metros as well as smaller cities. As PVR expands its operations in Bengaluru, this launch takes PVR’s screen count to 469 in 105 properties in 44 cities in the country.
