Taiwan Tourism Bureau is all set to take on the market with fresh marketing and sales initiatives in tandem with a collaborative Taiwan 2015 kicks off for Taiwan tourism Bureau with a successful 4 City Roadshow and participation in SATTE & OTMspirit of PR and media activities.

It has an immensely rich cultural and spiritual heritage, amazing food, world-class hot-springs and stunning scenery. “Taiwan – The Heart of Asia” has voted ‘Best Value Destination’ for 2015 by Lonely Planet as well.

The Taiwan Tourism Bureau held a 4-city Roadshow for the travel agent and media fraternity in New Delhi on 28th Jan, Kolkata on 31st Jan, Chennai on 2nd Feb and Mumbai on 3rd Feb. A sizeable contingent of the Taiwanese Delegation comprising of senior members drawn from various organizations: Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s Singapore Office, China Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Edison Tours, Good Time Vacations, Taiwan Theme Park Association, Formosan Aborginal Cultural Village, Atayal Resort, Atami Hotels who conducted B2B sessions and interacted with guests in each city.

The event kicked off with a B2B session followed by the opening ceremony that was marked by a stunning drumming and dance performance by Zero Nine, a specialty troupe that was specially flown down. Arthur Hsieh, Director, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Singapore Office welcomed the invited guests at each event; he said: “We are looking forward to potentially gaining advantage by utilizing our presence amongst travel trade consumers, media and also using modern strategies and technologies to reach out to the target market. Digital marketing, information and communication will become the cornerstone of Taiwan Tourism in particular and the tourism industry in general in the coming year.”

Next in the line-up was a comprehensive presentation on Taiwan by Noel Saxena – Country Head, Taiwan Tourism Bureau Representation Office in India followed by a beautiful video on Taiwan and Q&A Session.

Then the visiting Taiwan vendors came on stage talking about the various travel products of Taiwan and a grand lucky draw where prizes such as gift hampers, hotel stays, city tours, FAM trips, free airline tickets and complete holiday packages to Taiwan were won by the attendees in each city. The winners included Virtual Holiday Tours, Worldwide Tour Services from New Delhi. 1st Choice Travels, Orbit Corporate & Leisure Travels, Peekay Holidays, Embassy Travel and Tours, Jeradin Tours and Travels from Chennai, Club 7 Holidays and Khaitan Air Services were the FAM winners from Kolkata. In Mumbai we had 7 winners, Seventh Sky Holidays, The Signature Crest, Classic Travel and Tours, Touch down World Travel Specialist, Shripal Tours and Travel including Victory Travels and World Travel Studio who were the FAM winners.

TTB also successfully participated in the recently concluded trade exhibition of SATTE in New Delhi and OTM in Mumbai where it was met with an overwhelming response.
