A Von Ryans presentation made under the banner of Ticket Films, Bugadi Majhi Sandli Ga produced by Shhyam R Singhania boasts of as many as nine songs, including six lavnis and is all set to bring back the lavnis of yesteryears in a big way on the contemporary big screen after a hiatus of several years. As it is the maiden venture as a producer of Shhyam. R. Singhania, he has spared no pains to make a musical extravaganza which will lure the audiences with its strong content.
Mansingh Pawar who has directed films in various genres till date in Marathi has driven home in every film of his some pungent message or the other because he is of the opinion that a film is not meant to be made just for the sake of entertainment but also some coherent social message or the other for the betterment of the society. Bugadi Majhi Sandli Ga is also no exception to the rule.
Manasi after being in the top seven runners up in the Miss Universe 2013 is keen on pursuing a career in films as an actress and is happy to make her bow in a Marathi film as it is her mother tongue. Kashyap Parulekar plays the leading man who returns to India after learning western music extensively abroad and wants to pursue his keen interest in Indian folklore and traditional fine arts in a big way and in the process falls in love with Manasi Moghe who is versatile lavni dancer. Manasis pairing with Kashyap is like icing on the cake, as far as Bugadi Majhi Sandli Ga is concerned.
The film also stars Mohan Joshi, Deepa Chafekar, Ramesh Bhatkar, Illa Bhate etc. The popular lavni dancer Megha Ghadge is also doing a lavni item number in the film which is all set to take back the viewers to the golden era when lavnis ruled the rostrum. Mansingh Pawar has not only directed the film but also written the story, screenplay and the dialogues while Raja Fadtare is the DOP. Deepa Chafekar is the dress designer while Anirudh Dubashi and Vaibhav Ransingh are the production managers. Vivek Shah is the Executive Producer for the film for which Dipali Vichare is the choreographer. Lyrics written by Baba Chavan, Rajesh Bamugade, Sanjali Rode and Mansingh Pawar himself have been set to tune by music directors Pravin Kunwar, Babru Bhosle and Sachin-Dipesh. The songs have been crooned by Bela Shinde, Bharati Madhavi, Jasraj Joshi, Vivek Naik, Urmila Dhangar and Sanchita Morajkar.
