Criesse Communications hosts a spectacular opening for exhibition of art by IMPFA Artists

Artists Farhat Khan and Lakshmi Bicycle Series at CRiesse Ahuja IMPFA Event 199x300 Criesse Communications hosts a spectacular opening for exhibition of art by IMPFA ArtistsDennis and Gitika Taraporewala, founders of PR Firm, Criesse Communications in association with Gautam Ahuja of Ahuja Constructions, today hosted ‘The Art of Extraordinary People’, an exclusive evening aimed at bringing greater focus on the amazing works of art created by the gifted painters from the Indian Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (IMFPA).The exhibition was accompanied by a wokshop that demonstrated the process of creation of these pieces in an interactive session for the guests with the artists.

The event was hosted at the magnificent Ahuja Towers, Worli, donning the Mumbai skyline with its grand structure covered in glass, and attended by the crème-de-la-crème of Mumbai’s society, an eclectic mix that including actor-activist Gul Panag, seen chatting with ex-chairman of the MSEB, Vinay Bansal, tinsel town stars ranging from Shriya Saran, Elli Avram and Tanuj Virwani to the ever inspiring Rati Agnihotri mingled with Arjuna Awardee and Olympian Swimmer Rehan Poncha, luxury consultant Nisha Jamvwal, media entrepreneur Tanaaz Bhatia, celebrity photographer Jatin Kampani, representatives from the world of fashion, such as designer Rajat Tangri, fresh from winning best designer for Mary Kom at film award functions, Fabula Rasa owner Anuradha Bhalla, jewellery designer Neha Lulla, artists Farhat Khan and Lakshmi (Bicycle series), Khar Gym President Sanjay Devanani chatted with Radio Club Managing Committee member Premal Goragandhi, as well as a host of corporate icons.

Formed in 1956, the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists is an international, registered society of physically challenged artists. Members paint with brushes held in their mouth or foot as a result of a disability sustained at birth or through an accident or illness that prohibits them from using their hands. Through such events the organisation helps artists to display their works and act as a bridge to buyers, taking further their motto of being disabled in body but not in spirit, and looking to earn a dignified living through self help rather than charity.

Gautam Ahuja, MD, Ahuja Constructions says, “Indian Mouth and Foot Painting Artists have been creating extraordinary works of art with the colours of courage and joy.
