Hundreds of dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds will lead their owners to their favorite Doggy event “Pet-A-Thon” to create awareness for their rights. Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor invites you to come and join the event on Sunday, December 7th at PetStepin’ Rustam Bagh behind Manipal Hospital at 10 a.m. The funds generated through the Pet-a-thon will be donated to “Precious Paws,” an organization involved in animal welfare activities.

The Pet-a-thon, organized by Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor (RBITC) is a run-up to the upcoming SBI Bengaluru Midnight Marathon 2014 and is aimed at creating awareness on animal rights and causes and will provide a great opportunity for animal lovers to give their pets a great day-out, and a chance to socialize with other animals from in and around Bengaluru.

This will be the 8th year that SBI Bengaluru Midnight Marathon will be conducted here as the main fund raiser event for RBITC’s social service projects relating to environment, health, community and vocational services. RBITC will use the net proceeds for projects in the sectors of health, education and for addressing various other social issues.

This year, the Pet-a-thon will have some interesting games for all the doggies. There will also be a bake sale to raise funds for shelter construction. The Bangalore football team with their coach Ashley Westwood will launch the 2015 Calendars and new range of awareness merchandise of Precious Paws at the event. There will also be interesting stalls put up by Aarohi, Paw Delights, Pawffles and Tailslovegiftstoo.

The Doggy Heaven event day will also include discussions on grooming and animal care. One can also adopt a bundle of joy through Precious Paws Foundation’s Adoption Drive for rescued puppies.

RBITC hopes to see more pets and animal enthusiasts participating and working towards making our world a friendlier place for our four legged best friends.

To register, pet owners must pay a fee of Rs. 200, all of which would go towards “The Precious Paws Foundation”, an N.G.O formed by a group of people from various walks of life each with a soft spot for animals and a desire to do something concrete to make a difference. This initiative began with the main purpose of finding caring homes for precious puppies and kittens that needed homes urgently.

The event promises to be a day of fun and frolic for your loved pets while raising awareness against animal cruelty.
