New Delhi : Celebrations has begun in the national capital with “Palate Fest 2014”, the biggest international food festival, Delhi has ever witnessed featuring the best kitchens in the town. With a vibrant showcase of different restaurants, chefs and gourmet pop-ups, this fest allows enthusiasts to taste & experience new flavours & new cuisines. The exclusive 3 day gastronomic fanfare is scheduled till 30thNovember 2014 at Nehru Park in association with New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
The festival makes a great day out with food markets, cookery workshop, tasting and dinners. Tons of culinary experiences to explore with live performances by bands like Menwhopause, Astitva, Bandish, Shark etc, events, promotions and celebrations like the city has never seen before. The fest will begin at 11am till 10pm at night.
“The festival isn’t just about eating – it’s about the entire experience while strolling the grounds of Nehru Park. “We get many travellers from US, Bangladesh, Canada and Britain. But it seems like most of them are transit passengers and have some kind of tie up with Taj hotels. So when they come, they just touch Taj and go back. We have to break that and make them stay longer,” says Mishra.
