Mumbai : Taking a step forward for seeking justice for the women victims in India, Chanakya Creations in association with K4 Enterprises comes with a larger platform a Marathi feature film Candle March. The movie launched its power packed and inspiring music in the presence of Chief Guest Anurag Basu with the entire cast and dignitaries of political and Marathi film fraternity.
The evening started with a breathtaking trailer of Candle March introduced by Sachin Darekar. The event was further uplifted with LIVE performances on three songs of the movie with music director Amitraj and lyrists Mandar Cholkar. The evening started with a bang ‘Nikhare…’ sung magnificently by Shankar Mahadevan followed by a romantic track ‘Seher seher …’ sung by little champ Rohit Raut and Anandi Joshi. The concluding performing song of the evening ‘Kahi kelya…’ sung by Adarsh Shinde enthralled the audience present for the music launch.
‘Candle March’, a Marathi feature film based on true story revolving around four female protagonists who are sexually harassed. There are chain of events which connects all four protagonists to fight against the system and injustice. The story is majorly inspired from the known incidences of sex scandals and attacks in India beautifully enacted by Tejaswini Pandit, Smita Tambe, Manava Naik, Sayali Sahastrbudhye and Ashish Pathade. The negative role which depicts the grey shade of our society is aptly enacted by Nilesh Diwekar.
The whole story is brilliantly crafted by director Sachin Dev, screenplay by Sachin Darekar and Sachin Dev, concept and heart touching dialogues by Sachin Darekar, music is manned by music director Amitraj on the beautiful lyrics of Mandar Cholkar, giving the realistic feel cinematographer Raja Satankar, costumes by Mrunal Parab, creative art direction by Santosh Phutane and the backbone of the entire film producers Anjali and Nilesh Gawade.
Through this initiative, Chanakya Creations can be a platform to resolve the issues present in the society which are avoided. Candle March set to reach varied section of society on December 5, 2014.
