MKD 1483 198x300 Fevikwik and Akanksha Foundation join hands to spread smiles this Children’s DayMumbai: The smallest act of kindness can go a long way towards bringing a smile to the face of a child. This children’s day, Fevikwik, a leading brand of instant adhesives from Pidilite, hopes to light up the faces of less fortunate children by teaming up with Shoppers Stop, Hobby Idea Stores and  The Akanksha Foundation for an initiative called ‘Share a  Broken Toy, Spread Some Joy’.

As part of this initiative, Fevikwik will invite children to the nearest Shoppers Stop and Hobby Idea stores to donate their broken toys. These toys will then be repaired by Fevikwik and donated to children from under-resourced backgrounds  at The Akanksha Foundation. The initiative will be held from 11th November to 16th November.  The toys can be donated at any Shoppers Stop across Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan or at Hobby Ideas stores. Fevikwik as a brand aims at bringing a change in society’s attitude by reminding them that recycling is socially responsible behaviour. Once an object is fixed it tends to restore their feelings of happiness. ‘Share a Broken Toy, Spread Some Joy’ initiative is an extension of the Brands belief  to spread joy in the lives of underprivileged  kids.

Shaina NC along with her son Ayan and Perizaad Zorabian along with her kids Zaha and Zayaan and Rashmi Nigam extended their support for the cause and donated the toys at Hobby Ideas store at Kemps Corner on Childrens Day.

The broken toys, which generally tend to be destroyed or thrown away, can bring smiles to the faces of these pure souls. Through this initiative we hope to contribute towards society and do our bit to spread the joy amongst under resourced children. We wish to emphasize and inculcate the values of Recycling and Reusing among the next generation.”
