P. C. Chandra Group, the leading business group from East India in association with Eastern India Cinetel Welfare Trust felicitated some yester years film personalities & technicians; and extended financial support to them. The Group undertook this initiative to support ailing artists/ 
technicians/ cinematographers/ personalities who have contributed to the film industry in the prime of their life but have fallen into unstable times in their mature years.
Under the P C Chandra Tribute, the group will sponsor Rs. 5000 per month for 2 years to each of the character artists / technician/director and Rs. 10,000 per month, as monthly pension for lead actress for a period of 2 years.
Some of the people to be honoured and supported this year under the P C Chandra Tribute are:
Smt. Lalita Chatterjee; legendary Actress of the Bengali Film Industry who has worked with the great Late Uttam Kumar, Soumitra Chattopadhyay etc. and have also worked in the Bollywood Industry.
Smt. Swapana Mitra; who has worked with Sisir Bhadhuri, Ajitesh Bandopadhyay, legendary Actor Utpal Dutta, and worked with director Ramaprasad Banik & artistic director Meghnad Bhattacharya of Bengali Theater Group – Sayak.
Sri. Goutam Pal; Filmographer who has worked with all major leading actors of the present generation – Prosenjit Chattopadhyay, Ranjit Mullick, Aparna Sen, Moonmoon Sen, Tapash Pal, Victor Banerjee, Sabysachi Chakrabarty, Dev, Jeet, Koel Mullick, Rituparna Sengupta, Debashree Roy, Satabdi Roy, Indrani Dutta, Rachana Banerjee etc.
Smt. Sreemati Pyne; who has worked with legend Late Uttam Kumar, Suchitra Sen, Supriya Chowdhury, Basanta Chowdhury, Late Asit Baran, Late Bikash Ray, Late Chabi Biswas, Sabitri Chattopadhyay, Late Chaya Devi etc.
Sri. Dilip Banerjee; who is a Children Film Director, has won the BFJA Award and the National Award for Children Films. His work was praised by great Directors like Sri Satyajit Ray & Sri Ritwik Ghatak.
