Mumbai : Post the success of Mardaani, Pradeep Sarkar along with his team came to 
Whistling Woods International to share their experience while filming the blockbuster with the students. Tahir Raj Bhasin (Actor), Gopi Puthran (Writer & Associate Director), Anirban Dutta (Associate & On location Editor), Anilkumar Konakandla (Sound Designer), Production Designer, Madhu Sarkar Kuriakose and Brinda Mitra (WWI Alumnus – AD) were present. They shared their expertise and knowledge at a master class conducted at WWI.
Addressing the students at the master class Pradeep Sarkar said, “I did not get an opportunity like you all to learn from a film school, I learned as I worked. You all are fortunate to get a platform to not only learn the basics but also get exposure to industry experts who can teach you practical and on-ground reality of filmmaking. Make the most of it!”
It was a full house inside the auditorium as students flocked to interact with the iconic filmmaker. Sarkar not only addressed their questions and doubts but also shared his experiences and tips with the students.
WWI Alumnus and Assistant Director of the movie Brinda Mitra said, “I am feeling nostalgic and honoured to be here on this stage. It wasn’t long ago that i was on the other side (as a WWI student). I have the deepest gratitude for my alma mater and all my teachers for teaching me to ‘do what I love’ and making me who I am.”
Meghna Ghai Puri, President, WWI said, “Not a film goes by these days where we don’t see an alumnus of Whistling Woods playing a pivotal role. It is lovely to see Brinda & Saurabh Som like so many others be appreciated by Industry stalwarts for their professionalism and talent. This truly justifies our vision and passion for education.”
