New Delhi : Celebrating the season of revelry and romance, DIVA’NI and Royal Fables hosted Daawat-e-Awadh with the star cast of Daawat-e-Ishq, Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur, and unveiled Divani’s Bridal Collection 2014, titled FIRST LADY BY DIVA’NI.

Dawaat -e- Awadh was the culmination of many such recipes recreating the magic of love and royal regalia. Rekindling the flamboyance of Dawat-e-Ishq at the DIVA’NI store in New Delhi and commemorating their successful journey of creating festive fashion and costume for Dawat-e-Ishq, Royal Fables and DIVA’NI rustled up recipes of fashion, luxe-living and cuisine from the bygone Raj Era. The dawat was well attended by the members of Royal Families and Delhi’s glitteratis, Neelam Rudy, Kaushalya Reddy, Rajkumari Preeti Singh Kuchaman, RK Gitanjali Shah Tehri Gharwal, Baisa Pushpits Singh,Kanwarani Archna Kumari , Kanwarani Ritu Sinhji Wankaner , Nawab Kazim Ali Khan Rampur to name a few.
Amidst the festivities of the Awadh durbar, DIVA’NI, India’s first cinema inspired fashion unveiled the DIVA’NI bridal Collection 2014. A mix of modern textures and a nouveau color palette the collection celebrates oriental opulence. The mood is rich, exotic and soft with dramatic accents. The color pallete is vintage and recreates the mystique of soft mint greens, baby pinks and sea blues. Silhouettes are fluid, lithe and soft.
“At DIVA’NI we have tried to create a strange nostalgic and romantic feel through this collection with long waist skirts, tussles and jackets which is a nice variation for a bride, it’s more dreamy and inspirational a mix of modern and vintage with contemporary embroidery and classic silhouette .The bridal collection is for today’s modern and evolved women who is focused and opts for different choices rather than typical bridal wear,” said Parinita Saluja, Head Designer DIVA’NI.
The Shahi Dawaat unveiled the regal flavours of the quaint palaces of the regal aura of Royal Awadh with famed scions of the region like Rajkumari Alkarani Singh Pratapgarh, , Kanwarani Kamini Singh of Seohara, Rani Sandhya Singh of Khajurgaon, and Nawab Kazim Ali of Rampur.
