The second season of Bigg Boss Kannada which was aired on 29th June 2014, has successfully completed a week amidst a lot of fun, fear and tears along with lots of 
tasks that brought out the true nature of all contestants. It had a great opening as the names of some of the most speculated contestants were revealed. All 14 contestants were welcomed by the superstar host, ‘Kiccha Sudeep’ as they entered the Bigg Boss house which is known to be a hula hoop for the participants. The journey has began, and the hot seats are reserved. The coming days will show how many twist and turns it takes.
It’s been a week already and the contestants have started to analyze each other and develop friendships and alliances to survive their stay in the house. One of the famous in-house contestant ‘Shakhila’ who has been nominated for elimination, due to her inefficiency of speaking Kannada, has now started interacting with her housemates in English as the translation runs in the background.
Out of 100 tasks that has planned for the season, 3 tasks have been completed in the first week. Some tackled and made it through and others lost. These tasks helped the contestants know each other a bit more intently. With that the first week also saw a first round of elimination and Anita Bhat had to walk out of the Bigg Boss house based on the audience choice. On the day one Bigg Boss housemates elected four contestants for elimination – nominated contestants were Anita Bhat, RJ Rohit, Shakila and Santosh. And it was in the hands of audience to vote save their favorite celebrity. This weekend saw the first housemate being eliminated.
The cool host of the show, Kicha Sudeep, is all set to add more glamour and glitz to the show this weekend with our crazy star, Ravichandran. The loved actors of South Indian cinema are coming to the Bigg Boss house on 6th July as a special guest for the weekend episode.
Bigg Boss is a one of a kind reality show that brings the lives of celebrities to their fans on the small screen, a visual treat for all the entertainment seekers. The on-going in house drama will definitely add to the fervor of the show in the coming weeks.

Highlights:
Day 1 the contestants were tied in pairs for the entire day. The task was difficult yet funny and helped them to know each other a bit more intently.
Day 2 & 3 was a spoon full of entertainment. The contestants in pairs were asked to sit on a weighing machine with the luggage on the other side, the task was to ensure none of the sides touch the ground. The contestants were awake all night to ensure the task is done as per requirement. During this task Swetha Chengappa hurt her finger.
Day 4 The contestants voted for their first captain of the house, they had to choose between Srujan & Harshika, majority of the votes were to Srujan, who was named captain of the house & could use all the luxuries of the captain.
Akul has been given the task of teaching Shakila kannada.
Day 5 Contestants were given a task to rank themselves based on their achievements in their respective lives, everybody in the house unanimously agreed that Shakila deserves the NO.1 position.
Also the highlight of the day was Srujan being punished for not following rules of the house and was caged till mid night. This was the first punishment of this season.
