Poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Who is also Pakistan’s national poet, is famous in India for gifting the nation the song “Sare jahan se accha.” Another pf his poem ’lab pe aati hai dua ‘ has been the anthem of madrasa’s in India and Pakistan for more than 5 decades. This poem has now made it to Bollywood as a song,which was recorded in Mumbai’s Krishna Audio Studio, Goregaon, Mumbai Thursday, for the upcoming movie ‘LATEEF- the king of crime based on Gujarat’s don from 1980′s.
Sung by singer Shahid Maliya(Singer of film Gunday,Yamla Pagla Deewana, Student of Year etc.) the music has been composed by Salim Sen. “The music has an element of symphony” says Salim Sen.
Speaking about the song, producer of the movie Kewal Krishna said “Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s ‘lab pe aati hai dua is about peace. The song comes at the end of the movie and the song is the message what the movie wants to convey.”
Film Director Sharique Minhaj adds “The nazm is the morning prayer in madrasa’s in India and Pakistan. After Sare Jahan se accha back in 1950′s, this nazm is being brought into mainstream.
